We have been operating for almost 6 months! We can’t quite believe where the time as gone, we have gone from strength to strength with an army of loyal volunteers cooking and delivering meals since the beginning of April.
We are so proud of what we have achieved, we have delivered over 30,000 meals to the NHS and those who are food insecure.
We are so thankful to all our supporters and volunteers, without our volunteers' time and effort Furloughed Foodies would not exist. So, we would like to take this opportunity to celebrate our milestones and thank everyone for all the support over the past few months to this organisation.
✔ Over 30,000 meals delivered
✔ Over £30,000 raised
✔ 15 Hospitals
✔ 9 Food banks
✔ All powered by over 500 dedicated volunteer cooks and drivers 💙
After serious consideration, and due to the changing landscape in London, we have decided to pause the Furloughed Foodies operation.
As the name suggests we are ‘Furloughed Foodies’, many of us at HQ have already returned to full-time employment and many of our volunteers are now returning to work. We no longer feel we can run Furloughed Foodies with the time and dedication it deserves. However, we do have all the tools necessary to restart the operation should the need arise.
We will really cherish our time working on Furloughed Foodies and have loved working with every single one of our amazing volunteers. We have built an amazing community of foodies; all the food pictures and delivery photos have kept us endlessly inspired (and hungry!).
Our final delivery will be on Friday 28 August.
Please reach out to us if you have any questions or concerns.
